Data Center Solutions - Call PBM IT Solutions at (888) 233-6471Energy is another important issue for every data center to review. Data centers are the biggest challenges facing IT executives in the coming years. Gradually raise the temperature at the server inlet point to run up to 24 degrees Celsius (75 degrees Fahrenheit), but use sensors to monitor hot spots and supplementary cooling, if required. Recent changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure put IT on the front lines for ensuring a business is complying with regulations, notably Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA. Not only is it necessary to store key data for longer periods, but being able to retrieve information at a granular level –right down to specific emails –is now an IT responsibility, one that if not handled properly could result in a vacation with the local municipal system. Network virtualization is a method of combining the available resources in a network by splitting up the available bandwidth into channels, each of which is independent from the others, and each of which can be assigned (or reassigned) to a particular server or device in real time. Desktop virtualization enables a centralized server to deliver and manage individualized desktops remotely. This gives users a full client experience, but lets IT staff provision, manage, upgrade and patch them virtually, instead of physically. The cost of restoring the lost information or restoring a computer to operation after a hardware or software failure is high due to the costs of technical support and lost employee productivity. Some functions in the Cisco Unified Computing System are similar to those offered by the Cisco Nexus 1000V Series Switches, but with a different set of applications and design scenarios. The Cisco Unified Computing System offers the capability to present adapters to physical and (in the near future) virtual machines directly. When presented to the virtual machines, VN-Link technology can provide many of the same benefits as those described for the Cisco Nexus 1000V Series. There is growing pressure from environmentalists and, increasingly, the general public for governments to offer green incentives: monetary support for the creation and maintenance of ecologically responsible technologies. An effective High Availability (HA) data solution must address both unplanned and planned causes of downtime to achieve a truly fault tolerant and resilient IT infrastructure. Unplanned downtime is primarily the result of computer failures, data failures and human error. Planned downtime is primarily due to data changes or system changes that must be applied to the production system. The Cisco Nexus 1000V aligns management of the operational environment for virtual machines and physical server connectivity in the data center , reducing the total cost of ownership (TCO) by providing operational consistency and visibility throughout the network. It offers flexible collaboration between the server, network, security, and storage teams while supporting various organizational boundaries and individual team autonomy. |
